What is an Express Prescription?

At EyeBox we understand you have a busy life, the last thing you are thinking of is how to schedule in another appointment to get an updated glasses or contact lens prescription. We have developed a way for you to get what you need, clear glasses or new contacts without an appointment and without an hours-long wait at the doctor’s office.

We believe so strongly in the convenience that Express Prescriptions offer that we named our entire office after the concept. “Eyebox” refers to our box-shaped exam room, where our Express Prescriptions are completed.

During your Express Prescription exams, you’ll work with technicians and a Doctor of Optometry to ensure all your glasses and contact lens vision needs are met immediately. We use the latest technology to measure and test your eyes to achieve the clearest vision possible, all within your busy schedule.

Our Express Prescriptions are completed using all the same techniques used by eye doctors during your regular eye exam, in fact it’s the same service, just on your terms.

We feel patients should be able to choose to have only their prescriptions determined without needing to engage in a full eye examination each time. However, we do provide full eye exams when you do need them, and in fact, recommend having them at least every two years to stay healthy.

However, we know life doesn’t always provide time for long appointments, and the Express Prescription is there when you need it. Patients who are on tight schedules, free only during their lunch break, have run out of contacts, are going away to school, have lost their glasses, or need to grab contacts before leaving the city for the weekend will find the service especially helpful.
